| At Southern Thoughts we have a deep interest in Family and the development of children. Wayne thinks that the world that our children are going to live in is likely to be a difficult one. He believes that everyone should work hard to provide them a sense of Family, a sense of belonging. To assist in that effort the Family Activities listed below are presented for your use. |

Almost daily our lives seem to get more turbulent, more complex, more confusing. People can lose their direction amid the constant swirl of change, and feel they don't belong. People have a need to belong to something - to have roots. .A sense of "where you can from" and "where you are" is required for planning "where you are going". That planning is hard and getting more difficult. The family activities described are all designed to generate a sense of belonging - to let people know "where they came from" and "where they are". These family activities create a sense of being "special" in at least one place - the family. The family activities described center around making people feel special and creating happy family memories. Happy family memories can help a person through a life time of problems and disappointments. Unhappy memories just seem to happen, but we usually have to work at creating happy family memories.
